I am going to buy one and i wanted to know how much it would be worht. It's paint is in bad condition it will have to be repainted soon. it has no rust and it runs great. it has 110,000 miles orginal and the driver seat is mostly without damage. the soft top has never been used and the hard top is in good condition and the radio does not work so if any one knows what i should offer for this CA car please let me know.
also i would like to know if i can make more power with performance parts if they are available?

 

I just did a quick search on autotrader.com, using the info you provided...year, mileage, CA (search area used was 300 mi radius of Beverly Hills, to see what else was available for sale. Use this link for results...

You can do similar searches at cars.com, craigslist, etc. to give you an idea of the cars available in the area. IMO, Kelly and Edmunds miss the mark on these older SL's, and actual current market data I find to be more reflective of actual selling values.

Now if you were looking in Florida, I'd be happy to sell you my '87! But I think you've already got a fix on the one you want. Good Hunting!
