started up after sitting for some time. Dark smoke rolled, lost power, and stalled. What is the problem? Thks

check fuel pressure and make sure you have spark. might start by draining some fuel to see what it looks like. was a fuel stabilizer used prior to storage? was it stored outside? old gas and tank sediments can make a mess of things. start there and work forward to filter, etc.
