Default 2003 SL500 Battery

can anyone advise me, on my machine (03 sl500 does the start battery keep any of the memories
alive, i believe i will have to change my front battery before winter and was wondering as to the
precautions i should take to prevent loosing memories,..

Hello Glen, There is a simple method to ease your mind. Park another vehicle with a good battery close by. Next use a good set of booster cables.attaching them to its battery. Securely attach the positive on to the positive lead allowing you to unbolt the post clamp. The negative should be attached somewhere to clean metal on the block of your car. When both connected you can carefully and safely replace your battery without fear of memory loss. Please remember to use dielectric grease when you clean and reattach your post clamps. Allan .

thanks Allan ...i have all the required stuff...jumpers ,,,batteries etc to keep any memories alive if necessary...i was just curious if in fact the starting battery does support memories...
