I used a plastic drop cloth to cover engine, fenders, 1/2 the windshield, and front bumper. Used 3M General Purpose adhesive remover to get old glue off, and use 2cans 3M Super Strength Trim Adhesive (the regular strength won't last. Remember to buy new push-pins(12 or 14) for the strip along the front of the hood. Much easier w/2 people.
When I do this job again, I will remove the hood first to make it easier to work on. Disconnect the water supply lines for windshield washer, mark the hinges, you and a friend remove the hinge bolts, lay the hood on a tarp, drop cloth, etc. on the ground.
