1995 SL600 - Strange Wiper & Turn Signal Issue
I'd appreciate any help you can provide. I have a 1995 SL600. Recently when I try to start the wiper blade it either doesn't work at all or goes 1/2 way and stops. Then, the turn signals won't work until the next time I drive the car (the turn signals then work fine). Any idea what this might be? Thanks.

wiper arm might need to be lubricated ..it has a piston that gets dry and lubricating it usually helps.
turn signal stalk could be bad. both operate on the same switch. ive replaced many in the past for various reasons. but youll want to make sure it is the stalk before getting it fixed. usually when the stalks are bad the wipers or signals will operate when one or the other is used. |
Thank you! How do I determine if stalk is bad? I'm not even sure what stalk is :-)
Also, how do I lubricate wiper piston? Do I need to take off wiper arm? If so how and what next? Thanks for helping a novice! |
