Can anyone give me an idea as to the value of a 1986 300Sl with about 72,000 miles? It is in very good condition.

RE: 1986 300Sl
Assuming this is a 560SL, if it is truely in great shape needing nothing, with hard top, and soft top A-1, no dents, scratches, rust, garage kept...........I would guess it to be worth upward from $12K to $14K ..............BB

RE: 1986 300Sl
I cannot find any listing for a 300SL. If this is a typo, and it's a 500SL then according to NADA Price guide.
Low Retail is $14,050 Average Retail is $19,300 High Retail is $24,700 Hope this helps Cheers, |
RE: 1986 300Sl
No typo. It is a somewhat rare 1986 300sl 'grey car' imported from Europe. I have only found two others on the market. It has a 6 cylinder and 107 chassis. Both tops are included.

RE: 1986 300Sl
Hi This is the first time here. I just bought a 1986 300SL and then my education started. I did find a man with a classic N A D A book who put a low at 12k if in good shape.

RE: 1986 300Sl
I think the engine is a 103, made from 1971 to1990. same as the one used in the 300se. I am having a lot of fun with mine. Driving it and trying to find information. I am looking for an owners manuel for the 300sl. My car came with a manuel for 280sl,380sl,500sl. close but a different tranny. But I must say, this is the best thing I did in a long time.

Hey I have a 1986 300sl euro mercedes with 44000 miles on it. It has twin headlights, and I was told that it wasn't worth much. Is this true and should I consider getting rid of it. Thanks
