Default 03 SL500 NAVI DVD Question

I'm a newbie to this forum... I just purchased an 03 SL500 and am checking to see if I have the latest NAVI DVD's... How do I do that and how can I get the latest version at a reasonable price if needed? Thanks in advance!

I think the Nav on the 03 is CD based, not DVD. I have the same issue. The CD I have is old, but as slow and dated as the NAV is, I am thinking of reworking the stereo and putting something new in. the Germans sure know how to build an auto, but could sure take a leeson from the Japanese on stereos. My wife has a 2009 C350 and its Nav/Stereo is not much better.

Default Cd navi system

Hi..

I ran into the same questions, the sys is cd based and i found some
07 versions on ebay...(if u go to mercedes you have to buy the entire
set at big bucks) that having been said, even after getting the o7
release, the system is not as good as a $150.00 garmin..
Save your money .

not sure on the policy on this forum for posting ebay links. search ebay for the terms "mercedes navigation cd" and you'll get many hits. Item 260414640830 is one example if you want to just search that.

Default Nav cd

sorry for my slow response, but i see the answer has been provided,,,thanks.

one note, if u do find the cd's of a more recent release, it will improve the system
but the data really lags and lacks what u find in smaller portable units.
particularly the in town resolution....the data is provided navtex i believe,
but nonetheless, lacking.
good luck.
