Anyone have a suggestion as what to do about a 1 1/2 inch X 1 inch pit in upper left corner of windshield (97 S 4200 caused by a truck pebble (rock)? Called repair guy and he declined to do anything because it might be made worse, too big and has running spikes 1/2 inch long radiating from the center. Said it might not grow any bigger but if it does spend the $600.00 for an after market replacement (installed)
Also radio keeps going out because fuse in trunk box keeps going out. Any easy fix?

 

You should check with your insurance, in some states the windshield is covered with no deductible. No clue as to the fuse is it the correct value? I would think you could check the draw with a meter versus the fuse value, I would take it up one one value, 3.5 to 5 amp (nothing crazy) if it blows then look for a intermittent short somewhere.
