What are the benefits of larger wheels/tires...
Hi guys,
I was wondering. my 1990 560SEC has 15" wheels/tires on it.
is there any benefits other than paying more for tires that one could receive from 16" or 17" wheels and tires ?
thanks,
Kevin

Larger wheels not only look cooler.... but they give you better cornering (less tire roll) and a little stiffer ride (less bounce).
If you do go with larger wheels, make sure to maintain as close to the original tire diameter or your speedometer may not read-out correctly.
This link to take you to where you can see what tire sizes are recommended for your ride.

Hope this helps.
There's probably additional benefits, but those are the few that come to mind at the moment.

Yes, there is.
You notice driving over a toothpick much easier.
