Vibration
Unfortunately, I see that many of the threads posted on this website stay unanswered. Not sure if those who answer the questions pick and choose. I am aware that some answers can be found by searching through the forum, but some aren't easy to find.
I posted a thread before about getting some suggestions from you guys, some that are more expert than others, at least more expert than me (being a lady who knows very little about cars).
My 2001 S55 drives great but I have one issue that keeps bothering me. Whenever I drive, especially between 20-50 mph there is this vibration that I feel throughout the whole car. It is NOT a steering vibration, but rather one that I feel shaking the whole vehicle. I also tried it through changing gears manually, and it still does it in every gear, so it can't be the transmission. It was time to change my tires recently and I did so last week. It drives better but I still feel the same thing. The thing is that it doesn't happen all the time. And I think it happens more often when the car is warmed up than when it's called. I am scared if I take it to the dealer and tell them to check it out that they would intentionally find something wrong. So, should I take it to the dealer and ask for example to check on:
Drive shaft
Ball joints
Trans and Motor mounts
What else is there?
Oh and I just remembered that I feel the vibration more when I am at low speed, so if I take off aggressively I don't feel it as bad.
