S430 Front Seats Memory
Hello,
I was wondering how does memry on front seats works in 2004 S430. Is there a counter in a motor or is there a sensor that memorises position of the seat??? Thanks |
RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
there's a hall sensor on the motor and the corresponding door control module remembers the position.
once the battery is disconnected, this memory is lost... the reason why easy entry doesn't work and the headrest got memory too. you need to initialize them. fore-aft, up-down, backrest forward and backward tilt. |
RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
what do you mean initialize them?????

RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
programming
initalization something to tell the control module the basic end to end position what was the problem anyway? [sm=imsmilin.gif] |
RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
i'm taking the seats off, cuz there's some signs of water under it,and there's some corrosion, so i'm just wondering how will memory work after i put them back
thanks |
RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
memory is kept in door control module.
it doesn't matter. |
RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
i'm gonna buy new motors and some other little things, and when i'm gonna put it all back together, the memory will work??
|
RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
if you will change the motor, you will need to initialize the seat.
just actuate all seat movements from end to end. that will do it. |
RE: S430 Front Seats Memory
oh OK, thanks for the great info:D
