Cool Random Acting Starter

Just a random question to see if anyone has encountered this odd problem.

I have 2 key Fobs. When both in the car the car wont start. Strange I know.

I place one fob on the roof...now out of the car the key inside allows the car to start. Strange

My question is what would cause this? I have tried to figure out which fob was acting up and came out started first try and was on my way. I got to my destination came out went to start and now it turned over but doesn't start. I then removed the battery from the fob as the buttons weren't working ( recently changed batteries) after pulling then put and back in the fob activated again. I exited the car locked it, got back in and it started.

Sorry for being all over the place with my concern but I am just now convinced it's not a key fob issue any more. Its just too random but yet no lights on the dash stating a possible issure

Have you tried reaching out to the parts dept of your local MB dealership?
