Programming

I have a question:
Is it true that if you disconnect your battery you will loose your programming?
Or is it just some feautures will have to be activated again?

I have disconnected my battery before for about five miutes. No programming was needed, everything worked as usual.

i have a newer S430 with updated wiring and navigation, u think its still the same?

Can't tell you. I can only go with my personal experience on 02 S430.
