Phone Cable Conversion
I did not opt for Timeport phone with my 2001 S430 and was wondering if anyone has successfully utilize the Motorola cable header to hook to a regular cellular e.g. Sony-Ericsson T616 us be able to utilize the handsfree from Mercedes. It doesn't matter if you still have to dial from the phone instead of the NAV panel. It would be good if someone can share the pinouts as this is all that matters.

RE: Phone Cable Conversion
NO, You need a PSE, cables, Linear compensator, Voice control, and their Time port. I also think it has to be registerd in the cars fiber optic system.
I started the process in my 01 E, and gave up due to the costs. My friends at MB gave me some parts including a Verizon Phone which I tried to convert to Sprint with no sucess.
I ended getting a "Zero" install kit from Motorola Plugs into ligther and gives you a speaker/mic and a "no mar" bracket from Pana Vise
