Default Newbie - Tire pressure sensors on new wheels?

I just bought a 2004 S500 Sport and am getting 1 malfunction on my screen and repeated messages. The tire pressure system says it's faulty. The car does have new wheels (New CL style Mercedes wheels). I assume the tire sensors were part of the old wheels? Can I get this sytem working on the new wheels? Should I have the dealer disconnect the messaging somehow? Is that possible? Or is this a common problem that can be fixed by dealer? The car is still under warranty.

Thanks,

Mark

do the new wheels have tire pressure sensors installed? (the valve stems will be metal instead of rubber) if so... you may be able to have them programmed to the TPM control module. If you dont have sensors, or the incorrect brand of sensor you can have the dealer deactivate tire pressure monitoring in the instrument cluster.

i would assume that none of this will be covered by warranty.
