Default My Shock Experience

Hey Benz Fans,

Previously, I posted asking a question about Monroe Sensa-Trac shocks. No one responded or was able to offer advice about them, not even an opinion! Though I thought we're assisting one another. Anyway, I thought I'd update you as to my experiences regarding them. Please note, I am not advertising any shocks, just sharing my experience with these particular shocks.

First, I view the S-Class Mercedes-Benz to be the Creme-de-la-creme of German Engineering as it pertains to Luxury Automobiles. Though I do not expect a Lincoln ride; I do, however, expect a very comfortable ride. The ride experience ought to be consistent with its elegant, as well as, its majestic appearance. I believe its shameful to issue the promise of elegance and prestige and comfort and quiet, and then deliver that which is even less than common. I believe that the S-Class Mercedes-Benz stands alone, unequalled by any other automobile in its class. therefore,

Secondly, I do not want to drive an S-Class and experience a BMW ride or feel! I'm not slighting the BMW 7-Series as I also own a '95 740iL, which I also love and appreciate very much for its road experience, performance and handling! But when I get into my S-Class, I'm not looking for this kind of ride, nor feel! I'm looking for an elevated experience!

Now, as it pertains to the Sensa-Trac Shocks; I have replaced the Bilstein Shocks with the Monroe Sensa-Trac Shocks, and my ride now equals the elegance, prestige and majesty that the appearance promises, without sacrificing performance and handling. There is no bouncing or swaying from side to side, but there is a controlled, quiet and smooth ride. It will take a bump without making you think or feel that you're axle or wheel is being torn from the vehicle.

For those of you who are enjoying the "air" ride, I ain't mad at cha! I'm just sayin, that now, I too, can enjoy a nice ride! I'm runnin Pirelli P-Zero Nero M+S 235/55/17's which are smooth and quiet tires, and coupled with this type of shock; I'm consistent with the promise, and this is the ride I'm after! Just thought you should know and consider the option as well as the opinion, if you should become interested in a smoother ride, and do not have air ride installed on your vehicle.

Conversely, if you're running 19's and 22's on your S-Class, no pun intended, but I know how you're riding! You look "sweet", but you sacrifice ride. And I know... everyone has the right to ride like they want to ride, but let me also say, that, that is not how the vehicle was intended to ride, nor is it what it promises by its appearance. Just my opinion.

Let's do our part in preserving the promise. That's all I'm sayin. Thanks for reading.
