Default mikbox cell upgrade

Any personal experience out there with one of our sponsors, mikebox, upgrading the factory phones. My car is factory equipped with a Motorola Timeport, and my local Verizon cannot connect it anymore for it is old technology. Please comment on ease of installation and overall performance.

works perfectly with my 01 S500 and I installed myself in a couple of hours. I upgraded to a Motorola E815 through Verizon. The only thing I would like is to be able to do is download pictures and videos from the phone to display on your COMMAND screen, I know that isn't really necessary but it would be cool. Watching Vcast clips would be cool also but I guess watching CNN might disturb your driving.

Installed it a few weeks ago in less than 30 minutes in my 2001 ML that had Timeport and can't tell the difference from how it works and the original. I use a V635 Motorola with Cingular and it works flawlessly with the Mikbox.

I had no idea what I was doing, and I did in a couple of hours. Most of that time was spent trying to get the trunk panels out. Just follow the directions and you can do it! Don't panic when the phone doesn't start up right away it takes a few seconds to activate.
