Just got a s550
 

I just got a silver on black s550 with the sport package. But I wasn't able to get all the options. I really want to add parktronic to the car. Is it possible to add this and make it look exactly like a new s550 with this option? Thanks!

Hmm.. Thanks for the intro - I don't know if its smart to post the vin's info - but I guess it seems harmless - wddng71xx7a037394. I love the car. I also have a cls55 which is great but the s550 rides so much better - it's been a bit of a pain in the ass to get used to the gear shifter on the steering column and the Idrive is a little annoying at times but I think after a few weeks when I'm used to it I think it will be fine. I'm just pissed my car didn't come with the parkdistance and I would really like to add it - I've seen some aftermarket kits but they just look ridiculous. Is it possible to get the OEM parkdistance system installed? Thanks for all your help!

I'm not sure if it's parkdistance or parktronic I forget - but I'm refering to the sensors that tell you how far away you are from objects that are close to the car. I wrote "parkdistance" but I think I'm refering to parktronic. Thanks again!

it is called parktronic.

your car is S500, W221

i am sorry but partronic system is not available as retrofit for your car as of the moment. they come as factory installed since it includes in the wiring harness.

the only available retrofit for your car now is steering wheel heater, leather or wooden steering wheel, adjustable worktable in the rear, and trailer hitch.

My car is not the s500. I just traded my s500 for the new 2007 s550 with the AMG sports package. I will post photo's tomorrow. Anyhow, thanks for the info. about the parktronic. Do you think they will ever make this retrofit for my car?
