How to remove a W126 door

Can anyone tell me how to remove a W126 door?
I can see there are two hinges and a door check and some type of rubber accordian type protector - probably for the electrical for the window motor

For any reason does the door panel have to come off to remove the door?

How should I deal with electrical wires?

Any help is appreciated
