How big is my engine? HELP!
Help me out please!
so the other day, I go to pick up my girly girl, and we head to a concert in the bomber POS old mercedes (I also own a 1998 supra twin turbo but umm not comfertable) so anyways we are driving, and it is out of nowhere losing power on the free way! we take the exit (we had to take anyways) and it won't make it up the hill! ****T! so anyways we get a jump start, and the car starts RIGHTTT up! WOO! unplug the jumper cables, blehhh it dies! fcukkk, so! I came to the genius conclusion that the problem was a bad alternator! obviously, well I later discovered that the belt on the alternator had worn and flew off, now I need to know what engine I have to get a new belt

quick question guys, how hard is it to put a belt on? wit almost no automotive expertise I just need to go buy the belt i need, can I stretch it over the alternator myself? or is there a special tool I need?
When I looked at it, it didn't look possible, I could find the alternator, and I think I found where the belt needs to go around, but there is two other belts in the way! How much work is this AHHH someone help
It's not too hard. It just looks a little intimidating with them two belts there. As mentioned loosen the backets, (IMO try not to let the other belts fall off) and place the replacement belt on there, and put everything back into place making sure everything in the right place and tight. This is also a good time to check the other belts. Shouldn't take long or much work and a simple DIY.
