I'm new to the forum here and thought I'd weigh in for advice, confirmation and just to share the joy.

Last Saturday I bought a 2005 S500 with $80k Miles. I've been looking for a good Mercedes for the last 3-4 years since my 87 SDL cracked a head. After seeing some real dogs, this one seemed right.

It's in beautiful condition, the color I liked, only a handfull of small rock chips on an otherwise perfect body and paint job. AMG Sport package.

It was a 1 owner and religiously serviced at a local, well known Mercedes Dealer for all it's A's and B's. New brakes and rotors and new tires.

It drives incredibly.

I haven't seen much here that says they aren't great cars.

What's the advice. What do I watch for? What suggstions do you have?
