Default Harmonic Balancer Failure 3.2 V6 112?

Hi,
I was going to replace the serpentine auxillary power belt on my 320 S Class purely as a precautionary measure since it has now done 100,000 without any problems. However I observed that the rubber interlayer on the crank pulley is coming away! Anybody seem this before?

Does anybody have the procedure for replacing the serpentine belt. Presumably you can release the tension on the hydraulic tensioner somehow.

Anybody know what size the socket is in the end of the crank nut? Is it a hex or a torq? I want to avoid removing the radiator if possible and I can't see clearly enough.
Since it will be very tight (I imagine) I want to make sure I am using the correct tool.
Anybody know whether it is conventional or left handed thread?

What sort of life would you expect from the belt (it looks fine) and also the tension / jockey pulleys?

Thanks.
Stuart.
