Hard start.
alrght the silver tank started to have hard starting problems. ugh.
After about the fourth attempt it just starts normal as if nothign happened. It startsright up after a nice drive but parked a couple of hours it hard to start. On the fist attempt, it starts for two seconds, dies. second, third and fourth attempt it just turns. On the fourth attempt though, i sounds as if it's trying to catch (run) aka by that time some fuel is in the cylinder causing some type of ignition. Fifth attempt, starts right up and idles as if nothing happened. Strange. In the morning, when starting off, pressing the gas too fast or hard the first time after starting seems as if the car wants to stall, then normal rest of time no stalling. If two hours pass, hard to start but no hesitation. Overnight the slight first puch of gas hesitation kicks in for split second no stalls. the fuel pumps can be heard turnign on for the one second as normal when the key is turned to the on position. My hypoth. is that when the car is turned off, fuel pressure is not holding over period of time. Meaning that the car tries to start initially off residue which quickly burns off. Since during this time, the gas in the lines have returned mostly to the tank, especialy over night, causing the delay as the fuel must go though the filter, fuel accumalator, and travel down the lines to the engine fuel distrub, and into the block. While some people say bad fuel accum, from the way I understand the fuel accum to work is mostly to maintain steady pressure during running for smooth operation and steady flow of fuel and is more of a damper actually, which is my theory would actually cause more of had starting in hot (recently ran) conditions that anything. I think it might be the cold starting valve. What you all think? |
come now, no input from anyone?

sounds like a cold start problem. if its a 126 model its probably the overload protection relay fuse or the relay itself.
