Fuel line replacement
This is my first post & I'm also new to forums so if it's in the wrong place or already addressed, please excuse. I'll try to learn quickly. I have a 1983 300SD running on B100. I have changed the 5/16" fuel lines under the hood to & from the primary fuel filter. I've seen biodiesel friendly kits that replace all the lines except the cigar line but they are expensive for just a few parts. I noticed that the fuel line from the fuel tank has a screw-in fitting with the factory fuel line clamp crimped to it. Is it possible to remove the clamp & line, then replace the line & use a regular fuel line clamp? Also, what is the purpose of the shape of the cigar line? I cannot find a biodiesel friendly line shaped like it. So, does it have to be that shape or can it be replaced with a standard size fuel line? Thanx
