I had a command issue with it not functioning on my 2001 S500. turns out the fiberoptic wireing harness to the CD player burned out. they were able to route that componant out of the system, so the command functions now, but I want to have a cd player.

The dealer wants 5K to replace the entire wiring harness for the car!! I heard a rumor that there was a possible repair/resolution to this issue that was less expensive. does anyone know anything about that?
