Default EGR Valve

My check engine light just came on. The test says that I need an EGR Valve. Are these hard to replace? and How urgent is it that I replace it.

Thanks

Default Try Cleaning the EGR First, they are only a

diaphram. I had a problem with my wife' car EGR, bought some carb cleaner sprayed it until the diaphram moved freely in and out again and reinstalled, had the dealer reset the check engine lite and it works fine now for 3 months. Should be on side of the engine near the exhaust manifold.
