Hello everyone!

I have a 2001 S500 and have a question about the convenience opening and locking feature. I recently purchased an additional key (from the dealer) and I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it, but the windows & sunroof don't automatically open or close anymore when I hold the unlock or lock buton down. Did I do something wrong? Is there a way to get that feature working again?

Any help would be appreciated.

only the additional key doesn't work?

was the power windows and sunroof already initialized?

start the engine and open all windows. push the a/c recirculation button for about 8 seconds, does all windows and sunroof closes together? now push the active carbon filter button, does the windows all open together?

i having problem with my all windows and the seat adjusting feature it does not work from the driver side but it work individually.
help will be appreciated .

 

I have the same problem, but intermitantly. The "laser " open/close thing sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, with either fob. Also the the recirc/filter button trick works sometimes too, but not consistantly.

Any clues what to look at for repair? I have a 2001 S500 as well and have a warrantee to cover but I like to provide ideas and know before I take it in.

I never knew I had this feature, I did the reset and it works great. Thanks SW, I'll say again there is not much chit chat on this forum but the info is very useful.
