when i turn on heat or a/c i hear compressor turn on but nothing comes out of vents can feel either cold or warm air no fan tho sound like fan motor or control unit

 

More than likely it is the blower motor regulator. The voltage regulator mounted on the blower motor. These will fail due to the blower motor current draw which can also be increased due to restricted cabin air filters. I just replaced a blower motor and regulator a couple weeks ago and the bill was about $1000. Good luck
