The cigarette lighter socket on the front console of my 2000 S430 is not working. It won't charge any adapters that I put on it and also it turn on/heat up the cigarette lighter when I push it down. Could it be a fuse or is there something else wrong. I brought this wonderful car, which drives beautifully and looks great, but I do have minor issues that I want resolved, and I was told this is the best place to get information. Thanks,

 

check the fuses first. in your trunk where your spareis located there is a piece of glossy paper that is all folded up look up the location of the cigar lighter fuse.

 

I checked the fuse and it was indeed a fuse that was out, I replaced it and the lighter works fine. The light surrounding the lighter doesn't light up but everything else is working. I didn't find the fuse chart, if anyone has a copy they can post, please do so. I can't find it around for the 2000 S430. Thanks
