airmatic warning
will it hurt the car further to drive with an airmatic/visit workshop malfunction?

RE: airmatic warning
Depends on warning.
"DO NOT DRIVE". RED. Not a good idea to proceed!! "Airmatic Visit Workshop". OK but get to a shop within a few days. You may find the warning disappears.RTthis is since the warning is usually due to lower than normal ride height rather than very low ride height. When this starts to appear it is indicative of problems with the airmatic pump / sensors or more likely a leak which is usually from the strut tops. Lots of posts about this problem. New struts are VERY EXPENSIVE but a repair kit is available in the USA if indeed this is your problem,. Get a quote before handing the car over to your garage / dealer if you are in the slightest worried about cost! Stuart |
