AC Heater FAN Not Working S600

Guys,
I have a 94 S600 Coupe. The AC or Heater fan seems to stop working completely
the Temp is hot outside. I have read all of the similar posts and assume it is probably
the Thermostat Sensor. Does anyone know where it is located on this model?? I can not
seem to find it. Also, As a test, If I disconnect it, should the fan run normally?

Thanks

RE: AC Heater FAN Not Working S600

I just went thru a similar situation, if you can not get any speed out of the fan, it is either the blower regulator, or the fan motor being siezed. I heard faint screetiching some months ago, but it used to go away. I did not drive my 500 for a while and the fan would not come on, even b y turning the wheel to max. I could get cool air by opening the moon roof while driving. I finally took of the top of the air plenum, lifted out the filter, gave the motor a litle shove and it started. I oiled the bearing and it has been working. I read some where to use ATF, oil worked!
The blower regulator is approximately 150 or so, a new motor $250, and the entire assemly $600.
Its about a half hour job to get to.
1) pull rubber that runs around air housing
2) pull rubber near base of windshield
3) remove phillips head screws (two long, 4 or 5 short)
4) remove tubing going to air flaps
5) rotate to side (I did not remove sensor on drivers side)
6) lift up filter and You will see motor and speed regulator
see if it spins freely if you want, you can replace filter take lots of money another $150 or so
