ABC Electronic Hydraulic Pump
[:'(]
Hello Everyone, I have a small dillema with my S55 AMG. Its a 2002 with 95K and I have had 2 issues with the ABC system. In November, the main line from the rear shocks located behind the engine, ruptured... $490 dealer repair. Saturday night the red warning lite (ABC -drive carefully) returned again. No leaks so far? , the dealer looked at car today and said the electronic pump died... quote was $1800 for replacement and repair. I authorized the order for $1300 for the part.... I could not find this part through the independent resellers any where??? When the part arrives next week, I 'm wondering if its worth spending the time to change it myself.. I don't know where it located...... under the blk resevior[sm=shades.gif] Any thoughts or suggestions are much appreciated..... Lar |
RE: ABC Electronic Hydraulic Pump
electronic pump it only got mechanical pump which is tandem with the power steering pump. make sure that your problem is not as simple as pressure sensor. |
RE: ABC Electronic Hydraulic Pump
I will be picking up the car today... I know one of the mechanics and will ask the question about the pressure sensor... So, the pump is in-line or parasitic to the power stirring pump.... O.K. [:@]
Is it located under the fill or against the engine block?? The schematic I found really doesn't define its location........ Thanks for the feedback. Larry |
