hi everyone, i have problem with my s500, ok here is whats happening: while driving all of a sudden ABS light comes on and then few minutes later on the cluster it says Air matic problem go to workshop if i stop the car battery signal comes on the cluster and car turns off, it then needs a boost, but if i keep driving everything turns to normal in few miles. i just completed my type A service from mercedes dealership they did some 82 point inspection and replaced crank shaft sensor. toaday i also observed thatafter this whole abs situation the cruise control was also not working but after few miles it was even working fine, please help, thanx.

 

the airmatic and ABS or 2 different problems. abs could be a bad brake switch or wrong tire sizes. also try turning the steering wheel all the way left and hold it for a few seconds and also do the same the other direction and hold it. this will learn the steering angle sensor for the ESP control

 

My take on this problem is WHY the "battery" voltage warning has displayed?

Strikes me the garage MAY have forgotten to tighten the battery terminal after removing it or alternatively the charging system is not working correctly.

Systems like ABS are voltage sensitive but ALSO ride height sensitive. If the ride height is incorrect this MAY be as a result of low voltage load shedding disabling the Airmatic.

Looks like the garage didn't do the job correctly but it could be chance.

send it back to your garage and have them use a star to diagnos and or delete fault
