2002 S500 Air Suspension cracked
is there any way, to get itreplaced cheaper then 3000$? maybe get a used ones, or something... or maybe even get it fixed instead of replacing it. and what is the actual name for them, is it air suspension cylinders? thanks

yes you can buy a repair kit at the dealership and it can be fixed, for about $600 at the dealership, labor time where Im at is 3 hours total. the parts are i think $90- $130 per side. i repair them frequently. Do not replace the struts!! We call them strut tower caps, parts department will know what you mean.

probably not because you need to press down the old seal and remove it from the top of the strut. and you need to chip away all the black stuff that is on top of the seal( the stuff that has the cracks in them). then you will need to pump up the system and clear codes. there is a tool that screwson to the 3 strut mounting screws on top then it will press down the old seal so you can remove the C clip that holds it in. I wouldnt do it myself without proper tools,you could run into more trouble.

Hey, I'm still trying to fix this problem, right now my back raised really high and my front sits really low, its really bothering me, I cant even drive it, and I asked some german shops and they dont know anything about the repair kit, they just want me to replace the whole thing for 3000$, I'm screwed up right now, Im still paying for the car and its just sits in the drive way
