2000 S500 Rear Brake Pads
I replaced my front pads with Bendix ceramic pads to reduce dust. I want to do the same to the rear but I can't find them in Bendix. Does anyone have any suggustions on a good dust free pad?

RE: 2000 S500 Rear Brake Pads
Bendixhas a premium- Silent Pad for Imports thatis very low dust also, although a quick online search limits thelistings foryour car.
See below as possibles for rear of your car that I found in a few minutes online: http://stores.channeladvisor.com/bra.../Items/es31567? http://rep.racepages.com/parts/racep...mp;showdc=true |
RE: 2000 S500 Rear Brake Pads
Just to inform. By helping you with your S500 rear brake pad quest, I today have ordered a fullset of front and rear, all pads, for my car, from the reference I gave of Brake Planet.com, with a total including shipping of $64. Will let all know how this order turns out.
Helping others may just also helpme also. I like this forum a lot. thanks |
RE: 2000 S500 Rear Brake Pads
Hi Bill,
Very interested to hear the outcome of your ceramic pad trial. I predict noise and other problems but IF they do turn out to reduce the dust WITHOUT adverse impact that will be worth knowing. My SLK is the worst for dust! Other than the dust issue I have found MB brakes to be incredibly robust and in fact have never come across a car with problems that has OE equipment fitted. Did you fit new rotors or just the pads? In anticipation. Stuart. |

i swear by akebono ceramic brake pads. zero brake dust and my rims look good all yar round. there are no other effects like squeeking or brake any other brake fade. you sould try them out.
