Default 1993 300se Won't Start

I have a 93 300se and it will turn over but won't start. Over time it had taken longer and longer to start and now it doesn't at all. Ive replaced fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator, distributor cap and rotor and nothing changed.I don't smell gas and I didn't see a spark when I did an inline spark tester. I even tried spraying starter fluid in when turning the engine, but it doesn't even sound like its trying to start. Any ideas ?

Thanks. If the problem is with the crank position sensor, wouldn't I still at least smell gas ?

you will if you sniff the from the gas tank.

there's no point for the control unit to inject fuel when there's no engine rotation signal... right?

One more thing... Is it the CRANKshaft sensor or CAMshaft sensor that could be the problem? Any idea what the difference is, besides the price ?

Well after 6 months of guesswork and buy parts I don't need my problem is SOLVED. All i needed was a new IGNITION COIL !
Went to see Sam at Advanced Auto Sports in Farmington Hills, MI. He was highly recommended by others and figured this thing out in no time. It's good to find a fair mechanic thats really looks out. Can't say enough about how much I appreciated that and getting back on the road. Time to get her all cleaned up. I'm back in the game. YEAH !!!!
