1990 300SE HELP CINCINNATI
I look for this car for 2months find one in mint condition and after owning if for less than 2days, some *** ran a stop sighn and hit me. I need to know were i can get some used parts at and if any one knows a place in cincinnati were i could have it done right for a good price. Any help would be great.
Please tell us that you did have insurance, the only thing you'll be responsible for is the 300 or 500 deductible, since the other vehicle ran a stop sign, you can collect the deductible from his insurance company, or better yet, open a claim with his insurance company and have them pay for a rental (30 days at their own cost) good luck
yes im insured and so is he. He has progresive insurance, which means that they want to get it fixed as cheap as possible. I took it to mercedes and the estimate was 6300, 5300 at another shop. He was to responsability and was issued a ticket. The claim agent wants to put used parts on my car and wants me to take it to some place called carstar. I laughed. It took me 2 months to find this car, a doctor owned it and it was very well maintained. Its in mint condition. Its my first Mercedes im 20 so its not going to be the last.
No used parts, have them replace it with original parts, if they refuse, file a civil complaint against them, since the damages is over 3000 dollars, it will be a civil case that you have to file with the Superior Court, and while you at it, file a claim with the Better Business Bureau. I had a similar experience with Jiffy Lube after they damage my car, they did not want to pay for it, but once the claimed were files, believed me, they were too happy to settle. The link below is for the better business bureau. Good luck

I was in a similar situation, my insurance agent finally sugested that they pay for the repair I paid the deductible and they went to "subrogation" for their money. Its not neat, your insurance will could go up I lost my safe driver discount but it was fixed right.
i bought the car for 4700, the damage is not that bad i would post pics but dont know how, anyway they gave me a check for 5700. So in going to put used parts on it and doit my self if everything is a direct bolt on
His insurance will not go up, since the other driver is at fault, The other driver's insurance according to the law will pay for the damages, you can open a claim with your own insurance company if desired, but in that case scenario, you will pay the deductible and your insurance could go up. but for 5700 dollars, find a good shop that can fix the car for you. Have it done by a professional, otherwise, if you are involved in a crash again and you have no proof that it was done by a pro, the insurance company could total your car. Just a warning.
