Default 1986 420SEL power loss and stall

the first time the problem showed up, I was driving down the highway. the car started to feel slugging and within 500 yards, I had to pull over. the engine was idling erratically and finally stalled. i could start up the engine. It would start, rev up and die within seconds. I could keep doing this over and over again. If I waited 30 mins, it would start up and drive fine for 4-5 miles and do the same thing. As long as the engine was cold, it would run but when it reached operating temp, it would have the same problem.

anyone have any idea where I should even start to look?

thanks!
Praba

Sounds like a fuel pump or the fuel relay going out. Or even a clogged fuel pump filter causes these symptoms.
