Default Steering doesn't straighten up quick enough after turn

Hi everybody, my first post here as I am now a ML owner and need to know something about the steering on this vehicle.

After a 45 degree turn, the steering does not straighten up and I have to manually do it. A few times I almost crashed into parked cars as I forgot it needs manual straigntening. This behaviour is perfect for roundabouts, but very annoying for normal day to day city driving.

This problem occured in all MLs I drove while choosing which one to buy, so I am asuming this is done by desing on this car.

I expect the steering to straighten up after a turn as soon as you lighten the grip on the steering wheel.

How can I get this sorted? Ideas anyone?

From my experience, I would say that this behavior is normal in very cold weather. Ones the power steering fluid warms up, it acts normally.

The non self centering steering on ML's is a 'feature'
