Spark Plugs for 1999 ML 320
Last week I was at the dealership getting some work done and they recommended that I change the spark plugs due to "time in service". New plugs and cables were installed in 2005, only 25K miles ago but 7 years have passed. All seems to be OK with the car's idling, acceleration and I was wondering if this is necessary at this time. charles
Hi Charles,
I wouldn't touch the plugs, if they are OEM Bosch 7422. I would tell them that I will come back for plugs replacement in 14 years or after another 50K miles. Wires are short and again Bosch oem's will not age as other brands, as long as you have no misfiring and the performance is all there, I would leave them alone.
Just my opinion.
