I am looking at replacing my tires on my 2003 ml350.

It came with conti 4x4 contact 255/60R17 but I only got 26000km on the tire.

I am considering putting on a set of 275/55R17 all season tires.

Any suggestions on which tire I should get?

 

There has been a good bit of debate on this question, since the Grandtrek isn't made anymore. Some of the suggestions I've seen that you might want to research:

Kumho Ecsta STX

 

I replaced the tires on my 03 350 with the original Dunlap's 275-55-17 that it came with I have the inspiration edition so it has the bigger tires. I got 34k miles out of my original tires and could have got a lot more if it hadn't been out of alignment. The wife drives this car most of the time and I didn't catch it in time to save the tires. The new set is quiet and they were the cheapest of that size. $103 per tire at www.tirerack.com

 

[&:]I replaced the original Dunlops, which i felt rode poorly, with Michelin Cross Terains. No comparison.......Cross Terrain a much better tire. Matter of fact when I get my next ML, I will get these installed up front.
