Hello everyone. Just purchased a 2007 ML350 with 149K on the clock. Clean car fax, lots of maintenance records and very well kept. I can see nothing wrong visually. So I have a couple easy questions.

i have the Command Center version with Harmen Kardon sound system. The eject button allows the entire assembly to rotate outward. Works great. However, I’ve tried everything to make the back up camera work; in reverse nothing lights up or shows the surroundings. I don’t have the Parktronic option but there is a camera on the lift gate.

Number two is suspension noise up front. I do not have active air suspension. I believe it to be either the struts, strut mounts and/or front links. Very noticeable over uneven bumps and of course rough roads. Sounds like a clunking sound to me. The vehicle steers and tracks excellent. Thoughts. Can’t I just purchase after market complete assembly and install new strut assemblies and links myself? Not sure how to know if ball joints are bad???

I added a small amount of oil to top off and the timing chain is clean as a whistle. No build up or gunk to be seen. No leaks anywhere. Overall, a 9 out of 10 car I feel.
