ML 320 wont start
Can anyone help me as my ML320 has broken down and I was wondering if anyone has dad the battery light come on in RED and after a short time the car has shut down. I now have a full charge battery in the car but starter motor wont turn over.
Red battery light on the dash usually indicates a problem with the charging system, rather than a problem with the battery itself. If it came on just before dying and now it won't start despite a healthy battery I imagine you either have an electrical issue with either the starter and/or the alternator, OR you have a problem with the connection to one or more of these parts. In rare instances there could also be an issue with the ignition switch but without any other information I hesitate to even consider that first.
Honestly if you're not a savvy shade-tree guy then I would recommend towing it to your local dealer or a specialty/European car shop. Electrical gremlins are difficulty to trace without a schematic or removing parts. Or you could try your luck calling a dealership and providing your VIN number and hopefully they can provide insight, if not parts and/or schematics.
