mercedes ML270 cdi starting problems
Hi all. about every 2 weeks and my 2005 ML270 CDI, runs for a couple of seconds then dies and will not start at all.
I have found that if I bleed the number 1 injector it starts and last for about 2 weeks and then have to repeat again.
Anyone got any idea to solve this problem.
many thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum! Before you spend any money on parts, I would recommend pulling the car's codes. This should give you a good idea where the issues is coming from. Please let us know if you have any other questions or if we can assist with any future part needs.

Hi, thank you for the reply and unfortunately, it not bringing any codes and I'm thinking it could be a bad injector problem

If the issue is with the injector, there should be a misfire happening as well. Try switching the injectors around to see if only the #1 is affected.

270 CDI not starting .
We had the same problem and after searching for a long time this was the problem :
between the filter mounted on the engine and the high pressure diesel pump there is a tube which clicks in the filter and the pump .
take out this tube ; it has on both sides o rings to seal it off .
These O rings are not sealing properly anymore and the pump pulls air ; replace them or buy a new tube with seals .
Temporary remedy we did and for over a year we have the new rubbers but no need to install it so far : take sewing machine tread , rap about 5 - 10 times in the O ring seat , replace old O ring and push in it ; goes in hard .
Prime and start !!
