Default Brake Pad Replacement

Hi Everyone,

We own a 2006 ML350. The dealer pushed us to replace the rear pads at 18500 miles. The car is driven very lightly, mostly traffic free highway miles-- about 15 miles a day.

Does this make sense? I'll post pics of the pads that were replaced in a few...

I had the same issue with my local dealer and I refused to do it.

Is it difficult to replace the rear pads?
Anyone has the procedures? Pleas share.

I had the simlar issue, the dealer told me to replace pads and rotors. They said, the rotos has to be repalced along with pads. Estimated cost $1500.00

However, I decided to take a second opinion, and learnd that it was not needed to replace pad at that time, it had about 40% life left.

I haven't done it myself, but watched few times, its very simple just like the video. You will be able to see more videos. Hope you will have all the proper tools before you attempt to do it.

This is a very easy task that does not require any special tool at all just a little bit of common sense. Much easier then Japanese or GM.
