Could someone please help me I have started looking into buying a ml270 I want one before prefix so slightly cheaper tax and to keep in my price range (about 6k) . I have looked at a few cars and alot say they have had new gearboxes or work done on gearboxes and the auto boxes seem to have problems if battery gets low and use a lot of oil also there are rads apparently that cool the gearbox that quite often go leaking water in the box ruining clutch and taking gearbox with them. The manual boxes I have only seen one in the 100s that I have seen in the adverts but are these the way forwards and am I right to stay away from the autos. Please could someone give me the facts so don't buy something that I have got to throw money at
