Default How to re-sync key

Im sorry if this has been brought up before but I didnt find anything in a search.
The batteries went dead in the key, so I replaced them, of course the key still doesnt do anything so I need to re-sync it but dont have the owners manual so I have no idea how to do it.
Thanks in advance for instructions. Oh and its a 2002 ML320.
