DVD Question - Navigation
Purchased a 2003 ML500 today.. Im just wondering is it really worth buying the 2005/2006 Nav DVD from them. Or will i also be good with say a 2002 DVD from ebay for the vehicle.. Has the info really changed that much that i should in buying the newer DVD?
Thanks
Thanks
I speak from experience, do not buy anything older than 2004.1. Prior to 2004.1 there was only state highways and interstates for the majority of America in the nav maps. 2004.1 actually added rural areas and small towns. Nothing prior to 2004.1 even included LIttle Rock Arkansas, a city with almost 500K people.
THANK YOU!
Any ideas for the second question? I actually called and they told me i should wait little bit because they are expecting this model to be "retro" where more phones will be supported?! In first Quarter of this year... Just wondering if there is a phone i could get now for the car from Tmobile that will work

I second that, get a Mikbox to go between your existing phone box in your car and a new cradle (Mikbox will sell you both that go together). (I'm not a salesman, just a happy customer of theirs). I got one for my ML which had the original Timeport and I wanted to upgrade it to work with my V635 Motorola and for about $300 the mikbox took 15 minutes to install and problem was solved. Now if I ever upgrade again its just a software download (possibly not even needed) and new cradle.
