Hi Guys My 2003 ML500 Coolant light flashes off 1 sec on 8-9 sec then off 1 sec.
Coolant full and changed 2 weeks ago. nos igns of leaks any Ideas Thanks Cliff

 

if coolant level ok, check the auto fan for function ,by starting the engine,open bonnet and if the fan is movin ,its a auto fan not a mechanical works of PMS signal from ECM.if fan ok then its your coolant light switch fault..........

 

Found fan turn on for few seconds then off again and on but only real slow and then stops completely and light appears on. It appears to be fan any idea why it is playing up and is it a general problem. Thanks Cliff

BEFORE REPLACIN A VERY VERY EXPEN SIVE PART TAKE IT TO MB DELAR FOR DIGNOSES IT SOUNDS MORE LIKE THE FAN CONROL MODULE IS FALIN,ITS NOT CHEAP PART ITS ABOUT £600.00.........

 

Had dealer check fan and its shows up faulty even though car just out of warranty there going
to replace it. Thank Heavens Retail Cost $3500.00 AU.
