Default 2009 Ml350 Transmission Service

I want to service the transmission on my 2009 Ml350 for the 40k mile service.
It quickly became obvious that this wasn't going to be a simple job. No dip stick, no service plugs on the transmission.
My research though has revealed that it really isn't that complicated with the proper tools.
The service manual is difficult to get. But I have found one company online that is offering it for $177. I have a request in at the local Mercedes Dealer parts department to see what they can get for me.
To drain the transmission is fairly strait forward. Remove the pan and change the filter. I have already bought the all the parts from the dealer: seal, filter, fluid, and pan bolts.
Refilling the transmission is the final step that I can only guess at until I get the service manual or help from someone in the know.
But I believe it's going to have to be refilled from the Transmission cooling line. I have found a Mercedes Drive Line Filler on astool.com that I think will work.
Anyone have any experience with this?
